Hallo, I am a Christian, but I am also interested in other traditions such as Hindu tradition. I hope that I can put some questions here for discussion to help me in my studies, because most sources on the web (such as google hits for key concepts) as well as in my native language seem to me to be full of commonplace theosophist and orientalist misconceptions, and I could use the informed opinions of people who are themselves Hindus, if this is acceptable. My interest is not in modern unorthodox variants, but in authentic Hindu tradition(s).

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Namaste = to you my slautations.

welcome.

Your asking any question is nice since, replies will be educative for all readers (me inlcuded ). So, pl go ahead and ask.

If I may make one point here, to my understanding, tradition appears to be different from "philosophy". Tradition, most possibly has geographical influences where as philosophy is based on some "universality". Of course, the word universality too is questionable.

cheers
